Health- One of the most important things to pay attention to. Taking care of our bodies is essential, whether its fitness related, our diet, or our skin. Over the last few months, I have been trying out new products and I want to share the top five with you guys. Here are the ones that made the cut (health edition).
- Ora Organics Pre & Probiotic– Amongst the talk of the town is gut health. Everyone is talking about how important it is to take care of your gut. Gut health has been liked to the immune system, illnesses and disorders, mental health, our skin, cancer, and our mood. I did some research and tried out Ora Organics’ Pre and Probiotic supplements. They are a clean and transparent brand and after taking their supplements I immediately noticed a difference. I really like the pre/probiotics and I highly recommend them!
- Prolific Pre-Work Out– As someone who is sensitive to caffeine, this pre-work out has worked wonders for me. I was hesitant to try it at first, as I am with all pre-work outs, but once I did, I couldn’t go back. This pre-work out fuels my work outs without making me overwhelmed or jittery. I take one scoop to one and a half, depending on how much energy I want. It is composed of L-theanine which is an amino acid full of health benefits, such as stress relief, blood pressure management, immune system support, and it has been proven to help fight cancer. It also includes L-citrulline, which boosts nitric oxide and in turn is good for heart and blood vessel health.
- Oil of Oregano– During COVID I did a lot of research on natural products to enhance my immune system naturally, and I came across oil of oregano. Oil of oregano is a natural antibiotic and a powerful antioxidant. When applied to your throat, it kills bacteria and also maintains healthy intestinal Flora. It does have a strong taste which I hated at first but grew to like it. Weird, I know. I apply it by tilting my head back and applying 8-10 drops at a time, and I take it daily if I am feeling sick, otherwise I take it a few times a week. The version I bought is from the Vitamin Shoppe, which includes a dropper for easier application. When I start feeling sick, I take it and I see results instantly.
- Purely Inspired Organic Protein– A vegan protein powder made of pea and brown rice protein, with all organic ingredients. Purely Inspired has 22 grams of protein with only 2 grams of sugar in one serving. A little over a year ago I decided to switch over to vegan proteins after noticing a difference. Vegan proteins tend to be cleaner and healthier than normal proteins and they don’t tend to bloat me. After trying different vegan proteins, Purely Inspired is at the top of my list.
- Nature Made Magnesium, Calcium & Zinc Tablets– At the peak of the COVID pandemic, I discovered these tablets and they have made a huge difference. They help me stay healthy and my body recovers quicker after a workout. I tend to have more energy going into my work outs than I did before. I take three of the tablets about four times a week. The combination is great for bone health, muscle recovery, and metabolism.
