Ho Ho Ho! It’s that time of year again, where we all scramble looking for the next nail color to match our holiday looks. This year I chose to do Stay Off The Lawn! by OPI for my pre-Christmas festivities. The point was to do the green before Christmas so that I wouldn’t blend in with the Christmas tree.
Emerald green has become one of my favorite colors over the last couple of years and I wanted to do something with that color this time of year. Over the last few weeks I have been wanting to stick to a more earthy, neutral tone so emerald green it was. I went for the long almond shape with this green to really make a statement, while staying feminine. After doing this color I notice it trending, so if you want an “it-color” this Christmas season, Stay Off The Lawn! it is.
For the actual week of Christmas and New Years week I will be doing a softer, more neutral hue. I want to stick to something a little simpler and more subtle so that my outfit can be the statement piece, and although I am one for statements, I only like to do one statement piece at a time. Another factor is my modeling. With modeling jobs on the horizon and on-season beginning, I will have to stick to a lighter hue. Light colors it is for now, but in the meantime I can enjoy my fabulous emerald nails.
